Your holiday house in the middle of sun and sea

About Holiday house Bel Sole...

The "holiday house Bel Sole Monopoli" is an old fisherman's building just 50 meters from sandy or rocky beaches, both free, or equipped. It’s a stone building and although it has been just renewed three years ago, preserves some typical old details, including wooden beams on the doors, crawlspaces, and of course the typical architectural structure of the "Tower".

The holiday house is located in a silent little square that takes its name from the church of San Giovanni, built in the fourteenth century during the crusades of the cavaliers of Malta. From this location you can easily walk everywhere in the city ... to the sea few steps from home, or to a free outdoor fitness center, or to many children’s parks for children, for instance.

The downtown is 5 minutes by walk and the train station 15 minutes by walk, in any case everything will be at your hand without using the car: restaurants, pizzerias, bakeries, pharmacies, post office, bank, supermarket, hairdresser, breweries, butchers , fast foods, tobacconists, analysis laboratories, laundries..etc .. Furthermore our house is surrounded by historical and cultural spots ... you will feel as in the magic kingdom of the cavaliers of Malta, of the mysteries of the iconoclastic struggles, told by old men and fishermen that still populate the old city…

About us...

Let's introduce us...

We are Beppe, Laura, and Leandro.

We were living at Bel Sole until 2015, and then we moved in a bigger apartment since Leandro grew and needed more space.

During seven years in the old district of Monopoli, we had the chance to appreciate the kindness of its citizens, to enjoy the warm evenings sitting in front of the sea, or the autumn breezes that cradle us quiet and suggestive on our terrace...

... the smell of Sunday’s tomato-sauce, or the “focaccia” (typical apulian food) with onion just prepared during the holy Friday day... the gossip and rosaries of the grannies during the hot summer evenings ... the spaghetti festival in honor of San Giovanni on June 24th each year just in our square...

...the religious traditions and games of street artists during the evenings of August..., the work of our fishermen who prepare the nets in the lanes, with devotion and deep care ...

...our artisans who build up our typical "Gozzi" (red and blue boats) with learning from father to son .. and then ... .the smiles ... the warm eyes ... the acts ... and the words often in our typical dialect ... because our people speak with their eyes ... with acts ...and comes straight to the heart of those who come to visit our places also from  the other side of the world ... or from the middle of nowhere ....
